Stock and offcuts

Record available wood

  1. In your project, open Wood → Add board.
  2. Enter dimensions, thickness, material and available quantity.
  3. Choose a board or a rectangular offcut and set the grain direction.

Project inventory with board dimensions and available quantities

Stock belongs to the project. Wood profiles form a shared workshop catalog, not an inventory of available quantities.

Each row's menu lets you edit, duplicate or delete a board. Update quantities after cutting: calculating a plan does not automatically consume physical stock.

Avoid unplaced pieces

Check that board material and thickness match your pieces. Margins, kerf and grain direction also limit placement. Sufficient total area alone does not guarantee that pieces fit.

Veta prioritizes compatible offcuts. If the result has missing pieces, check constraints and board quantities before recalculating.

Recover leftovers

In Cuts, inspect rectangular leftovers before saving them as offcuts. Check that they represent material actually available and avoid recording them twice.

For bulk entry, use CSV or Excel import.
