Shapes and edges

Build a geometry

  1. Open Settings → Geometries and choose New geometry.
  2. Choose a base shape and set its dimensions.
  3. Select vertices and curves in the drawing to edit them. Arrow keys move the selected vertex; Shift increases the step.
  4. Review the shape and choose Save changes. Discard changes restores the saved catalog.

Geometry builder with a drawing canvas and shape properties

Select a geometry in the list to edit it directly in the builder. You can also duplicate, import or export it. A geometry in use cannot be deleted.

Customize edges

  1. Open Edge templates.
  2. Choose a rounded, chamfered or bevel sample to create your template, or duplicate an existing one.
  3. Select the template and adjust its dimensions beside the section preview. Choose Save changes.

Apply to a piece

In 2D design → Edges, select the edge and template. Veta checks compatibility with the piece. Correct incompatible dimensions before applying them.

Templates copy values: editing or deleting one later does not change previously designed edges. Inserted geometries also retain their shape. The catalog is shared across the workshop; pieces retain their project-specific design.

Continue with 2D editing.
